Common Tactical Truck (CTT) is a Family of Vehicles (FoV) to replace the M915 Line Haul Tractor & M1088 Medium Tractor, Palletized Load System (PLS), and Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT). The CTT will leverage best commercial practices, lower procurement cost through commercial economies of scale, and technology upgrades to include Predictive Logistics /Telematics, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and autonomy.CTT Concept Photos
Description: The Army’s operating concept highlights that the CTT will deliver all classes of supply, breakbulk, bridging, and containerized cargo across all tactical mobility levels as far forward as the mission requires. Its variants will employ modern military and commercial technology while conducting line-haul operations as well as self-load/unload of standard flat racks, bridging assets, and ISO containers to enhance commercial flexibility. The CTT serves and an essential transportation link between strategic ports and the “Tip of the Spear” providing Multi-Domain Operation forces with ability to deploy, move and maneuver where and when desired to accomplish the mission.
