Product Lead Ground Mobility Vehicle

The Army's Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV) program is intended to provide enhanced tactical mobility for Infantry Brigade Combat Teams to move quickly around the battlefield.

This capability provides flexibility for entry operations (permissive and non-permissive) to counter threat anti-access strategies by using multiple austere entry points to bring in combined-arms-configured units.

Procurement of the initial GMVs is leveraged through an existing, competitively awarded DoD contract with the U.S. Special Operations Command. The Army intends to pursue a full and open competition for the GMV Infantry Squad Vehicle as a formal program of record. A production contract is projected in fiscal year 2020 for approximately 2,000 vehicles.
